Felix

Marimba

was born in 1992 in Stühlingen. Ten years later he had a pair of drumsticks in his hand for the first time and was directly captivated by the energy and versatility of the drums.

After his first experiences with the drum ensemble of the Musikschule Südschwarzwald, he couldn’t wait to play in other formations; he played in various rock and jazz bands, but also with international orchestras and was co-founder of the Blackforest Percussion Group, as well as the Krona Percussion Ensemble, of which he still belongs. Concert tours have taken him across Europe but also to China and Argentina.

During his studies in 2012 with Jesper Tjaerby Korneliusen and Olaf Tzschoppe at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, and in 2018 with Rainer Seegers and Franz Schindlbeck at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, he had the opportunity to further develop his musical personality.

As time went on, Felix became more and more aware that he appreciated playing with other musicians in orchestras and ensembles. With musicians who became his closest friends and a significant part of his life.
